That top picture.

I know a guy who works at Audi, and he said that they will try to retrofit them and sell them as CPOs to recoup some of the cost.

I mean, that’s VW’s style. They’re German. They’ve always had a fairly conservative style, along with every other German car (except for the Beetle). Not every car needs to look like it’s angry with everything or all swoopy like a Camry or a Hyundai.

I mean, I never had an issue with it over the 3 years I owned my Mk5, and I’ve never had an issue with my MK6 either. They were reliable.

As someone who has owned a MK5 and a Mk6, I’m not too sure I agree with you there. The Mk5 definitely was better than the 4, it was also much more reliable, and it didn’t smell like crayons. The 6 is definitely cheaper, but then again, it’s also more reliable than the 5.

An I6 would be the correct choice, but knowing Toyota and knowing BMW, they’d opt for a V6 instead because what does tradition or enthusiasm mean anymore to either company? Both ideas have been sacrificed on the altars of Cheap, Easy, and Profitable long ago

The S3 has as much rear legroom as a Golf, and it has four doors, so it’s not like we’re talking about a Mustang here.

I was actually thinking about the Dan Carlin Hardcore History podcast recently. He famously asks people to donate a buck a show if they think it’s worth it. Over a million people listen to each show. If just 10% of the people listening to it donate a dollar, that’s at least $100k an episode.

To be fair, he started from pretty much nothing, and decided one day that he would rather be a comedian than build cabinets, and he worked his ass off to get on the radio, and then continued to work his ass off through a million other projects.

What does it feel like to be punched by Clarkson? What if he punches like a little kid? Would that upend the entire controversy?

It seems to me that Australia flat out doesn’t trust its citizens.

I think she got a job elsewhere.

Your boss sounds terrible.

They still have the VR6 Passat.

Have you actually driven a Jetta or a Passat recently? The 1.8t is more powerful than most of the competition’s offering, it’s super torquey, offers great gas mileage, and they’re fun to drive.

The Passat is one of the most interesting choices in the segment, it’s incredibly roomy and very comfortable for four adults, gets great gas mileage, it’s sporty at all trim levels compared to everything but the Mazda6, and higher trims have incredibly nice cabins with nice wood trim and real leather. Has anyone who

I’m pretty sure the Prius has auto lights, as does the Camry. Unfortunately, the people who drive them don’t seem to trust that Auto lights will actually turn themselves off and on, so they turn off their lights and then forget to turn them on because they have a dash that’s always fully lit.

“slight illumination to the tail lights”

What’s really funny about Toyotas and this problem is their people drive around without their lights on (not even DRLs!) in examples that come with automatic lights.

McMike and I have discussed this phenomenon at length. We’ve noticed that Toyotas are particularly likely to be driven without their lights on, sometimes with DRLs, but often with no lights on at all. I think that it’s because A.) The dash doesn’t get darker as it gets darker, B.) Toyota drivers find driving to be an
