The Eos is staying in production :)

You are, by far, my favorite Jalopnik writer. I always laugh so hard with everything you create. The best times are when I’m sitting in lunch at school surrounded by ugly bitches I don’t like, reading one of your articles, and I burst out laughing. I get a sea of scoffs from my “friends”, and it makes my day so much

Nice to see someone sticking up or Volkswagen in this hard ass time. Everyone makes mistakes, let’s not kill them over it. I've done dishonest things in my life and been forgiven. Damn, car community, let's show some mercy!

I’m probably not the best one to answer this, seeing I would be completely comfortable living in a cardboard box and instead spending my money on a VR6 Passat and a W203 Merc Kompressor.

As many people know, I’m fiercely loyal to Volkswagen. I will admit their faults (unlike some other brand-loyal fanatics) but I hate when people make fun of them, bash them, or crush them with tanks on YouTube. I love them for their sophisticated, clean, athletic designs and unique transmissions. I enjoy their vast

Let’s start a petition to get BMW to start naming their cars properly. WHY IS THE 340i CALLED THE “340” WHEN ITS ENGINE IS 3 LITERS, NOT 4.

I love it. I love the styling (except for the front) but yeah. Always been a fan of the weird looking four door coupe SUV egg things.

Take out the spare tire in the trunk and fill the entire space (and more) with a re-sealable fuel tank. Then, carry a shit ton of quarts of oil in place of the back seats. Reduce lots of weight (unnecessary things like airbags, mirrors, tail lights, etc). Oh, and make sure it’s a diesel. I vote for a Mercedes A-Class

The BMW 650i Cabrio. Those swept-back headlights, soft curves, friendly face, bubbly wheels, smooth belt line. I love it and it is very welcoming/gentile :))))

I really don’t understand all the hate for Volkswagen. Unreliable, yes- some of them. Not selling well? Sure. The Eos, for example, is a niche car. It’s not meant to sell in volume. It sells about as good as a BMW 4-Series convertible. Sales aren’t everything. As for the unreliability part- here’s a little story. My

HAHAHAHA I LOVE YOU

If BMW and GM are found to be doing the same thing as Volkswagen, which is very, VERY possible, people will stop hating on Volkswagen for this. They can’t hate Volkswagen, BMW, and GM. They are the brands with some of the biggest followings around. I doubt it’ll hurt sales that much when it’s more than just one brand

My mom went to trade in her 2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI for a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 70th Anniversary V8. She went into a Jeep dealership. She sat down and negotiated for two days. As the papers were being signed, the salesman walks outside and says “Oh... I thought you had a Jetta TDI Cup edition. I’m not sure how I

Thank god he’s gone. Let’s get Piech to come back, and he’ll bring back the goodness of the B6 Passat and MK5 Jetta and save the dying cheap Volkswagen lineup and make them Audi alternatives once again!

I also hate Miatas. They’re so smug, small, annoying- just I hate everything about them.

I don’t know how i’m supposed to feel driving my Volkswagen now. I want to like Volkswagen, and they make some damn good cars, but this makes me really sad. It’s like cheating on a math test. I’m not proud of the fact I've done it, and I had to face the consequences, but I'm not a bad person by any means because I did

I’m sorry- but I just can’t feel angry at Volkswagen for doing this. Sure, the uneducated consumers may feel “betrayed” by this news, it's no secret that our emissions regulations are stupid and far too strict. Lives aren't being lost. The only thing going on is that cars are making great power and returning good fuel

I’m very glad these are so closely related to Audi and Porsche. Love the design and the sophisticated look. Also, rejoice! They kept the soft materials!

I’m crying. This is great. Honestly though, I wish Volkswagen would get it together. Sure, the Golf family, Eos, Touareg, CC and Beetle are great, but what the hell is going on with the new Jetta? I had one for three years and I won’t lie- it was fun to drive, but my god. Those interior materials were not what I had

SO happy they gave it that long, sloping roofline that blends into the trunk. Really digging the whole fastback look. I am a fan of Honda’s new design language- I think the new Pilot looks damn fine and the HR-V looks playful and handsome. This takes a step in the right direction imo. I do see a striking resemblance
