I would like to respectfully disagree on your claim about the Passat NMS. I have a BMW 3-Series and a Volkswagen GTI in my driveway, for reference. The Passat, in my opinion, has always been the car you could use as a family sedan or, in higher trim levels, an alternative to a 3-series as a sort of entry-level

I had a Touareg. All it did was attract bad luck though. It was smashed into with a rock by some thieving asshole, rammed by a snowplow while parked at the airport, and keyed on all four sides by an unknown vandal. :(

Wow, ouch. Clearly there’s no love for any other Volkswagen that isn’t a GTI. Do people realize they’re good cars? I laugh out loud when I row through the gears of my Golf, and I loved my GLI to death. Sure Volkswagen is stuck awkwardly in between “premium” brands and “regular” brands, but they do know how to make

The Volkswagen GTI, to serve as an example of being well-rounded. A car that can appeal to enthusiasts as well as families, all while offering some serious engineering and class-above quality. I love mine more than I love myself.
