Goddamn man that is pretty much stabbing me from 2005 directly in the heart. Luckily I haven’t used my journalism degree in 15 years now.

I am not necessarily against review embargoes. I am more against picking and choosing which orgs get codes and when and not providing an as close to finished version of the game as you can (assuming this is the actual case).
This game is going to sell like crazy no matter what, unfortunately, but I don’t really ever feel good about supporting Gearbox. Granted I know their profit sharing is good so that helps it out a bit.
What an entirely weird situation. 2K as a whole is just a gross publisher. This reminds me of back in the early 00s when Marvel stopped providing review comics to all journalists and then, subsequently, bitched because no one was reviewing their books. Not that B3 isn’t going to have 100 reviews by next Friday, but I…
I never knew that much about them (outside of Tim Duncan, Chris Paul, and that ‘06 Football team) and then they started recruiting my cousin. He chose them and now I’ve been there multiple times and been to games all over the country. The best thing I can say is that everyone I have met from that university has been…
I got to meet him a few years ago. He was absolutely awesome. It was at a small horror convention in Chicago and he didn’t really have a line so we just sat and chatted for like a half hour.
That said, this fandom was kinda forced on me and it has been amazing. I was a Michigan fan before going over to Wake Forest and I was miserable every Saturday. Now I just hope the game is good and no one gets injured.
My favorite team has won two conference championships in their entire history (the last in 2006) and our division has Clemson so I don’t even think about conference championships at this point. So instead I live and die by every snap and hope I get to go to a bowl game in a warm place at the end of the season.
It’ll get taken down when Elder Scrolls 6 is announced as an EGS exclusive.
“I would have told them to present the info they had legal access to a US congressman or senator; a state Adjutant General; a DoD or WH ethics / legal office - but never to a foreigner.”
If I could get a release of Chrono Trigger, I would shut up forever.
“I’m like any other fan in that when a player fails, I just assume it’s because he’s either untalented or lazy. But sometimes that’s wrong. Sometimes they’re STUPID. Really refreshing way of looking at it.”
The day those games are announced for Switch I will be so damn happy. I have tried many times to love BotW as much as everyone else does and I just can’t. I can’t wait for the Link’s Awakening reboot later this month.
I am so damn excited for Return of the Obra Dinn after hearing it raved about for months on Splitscreen.
This boss fight has also made me quit Control for a bit. I keep getting stuck on items in the world and hit by his flying stuff. I don’t have good enough aim to hit the other guards consistently and the lack of a decent cover system means you just have to run in circles and hope you don’t get hit. The combat in this…
Okay, but you are the one specifically saying a “twitter mob” led to his death with no proof. His sister specifically said that they believe victims and to not blame Zoe. We don’t know the circumstances surrounding his death outside of his family’s statement to not do exactly what you are doing? And he’s not hear to…
Alec’s family: “Don’t blame his accusers, they are victims too.”
This is just an awful story all around and I feel terrible for his family. The fact that his death was instantly used by bad faith actors to score some sort of gamer political points makes it even more tragic.
Well said and the discourse around this story has already become a cesspool on twitter so I suspect I’ll be using the dismiss and report feature liberally here. Saying “believe victims” to many seems to make them think that we are saying the accused are automatically guilty. It turns all discussions surrounding these…
