Ugh, sigh, I was so excited to have this on my Switch (despite barely booting up my PS4 version). I don’t know why I continue to force myself to buy this game, but I apparently have no self-control in regards to it. So I’ll buy it (like a sucker), make it 20 hours in and never finish it...again. I just wish it wasn’t

Yup. It definitely makes it worse and extremely cringe-worthy.

To quote a great man: “No one wins, one side just loses more slowly.”

This is partly why I haven’t played the game yet, despite downloading it last week. I am just not good at shooters at all and when it comes to a game like this where I am required to be on a team with people I don’t know I end up never playing it for fear of letting my teammates down or getting some assholes as

Oh for sure. I am excited to try it. It’s just a bonus to me, which is totally cool.

It’s not character assassination if it’s true Trevor you fucking alt-right ghoul.

I’ll never get rid of my 3DS because it is the Samus one, and the only place I can play some of the old DQ games. That said, the last game I was going to ever buy for it was probably Bowser’s Inside Story and I am really enjoying that right now.

What proof do you have that this caddy didn’t help Kuchar with reads or club selection?

I can guaran-fucking-tee you that if I won $1.3 mil, I would gladly cut a check for $130k to the person who helped me get it without hesitation.

Decent never comes into play with these people. To them the only decent thing a human being can ever do is honoring the terms of a contract or something. Imagine having so little empathy for anyone that only way you can imagine being nice or doing something above and beyond is if a lawyer draws it up beforehand.

Okay, counterpoint: Kuchar managed to win without his regular caddy/zen life coach/psychologist so someone in this situation is either extremely over or underpaid. Which one is it?

I will always encourage a kid to pursue their dreams, but I will also be honest with them about the industry they are entering. TBH, I wish someone had done that with me when I entered the print journalism industry in the early-2000s.

Well, if anything this tournament proved that Kuchar doesn’t need a regular tour caddy. He can win just as well without one.

Well if anything, this tournament then showed Kuchar that he doesn’t need a caddy he has to pay $130k if he wins, he can win with anyone and save a shitload of money. I mean since everyone here is assuming that since this caddy wasn’t his regular caddy all he did was carry his bags for 4 days.

May all of his meals be forever spit on by waitstaffs around the world.

Agreed. My undergrad is in journalism and my masters is in special education. Between those two careers I did quite a few different jobs. However, I always kept my eyes open about what was going on in careers surrounding me tangentially. I have never had the technical know how to do coding or work in games in that

That said, I fully understand this article is about France. Just something I have been ruminating on in regards to employment in the video game industry in the US where worker protections are non-existent.

As a teacher (and previously as a retail manager for Gamestop), I have heard a lot of parents and kids themselves talk about how much their kids want to get into game development. One thing I am always up front with them about when discussing this (since I know enough about the industry through talking to people and

I started 2033 last night, but I am playing on the easiest possible setting. I am not really good at survival games like this so I am just gonna casually play through the story (which I like so far). I figure I can maybe beat the two of them by my spring break and tackle Exodus then if I am up to it.

I played it on the easiest difficulty too. I do for all shooters (I’m not particularly good at them), but I would find an outpost maybe be able to take down one or two baddies before being spotted and just have to throw caution to the wind and murder everyone. By the second half of the game I just gave up even trying
