Maybe one day I will. Sadly, it is going to be -60 with wind chills here tomorrow and Thursday so I have a bunch of first and second graders that I need to finish testing with before they leave for two days.

Yup. Apologies to my Switch, but I have no problem playing Bloodstained and Celeste on my Xbone.

Oh god, those spiders. *shudders*. The worst part of ym detassling experience was whoever ran it, had a policy that everyone didn’t get paid until the end of the summer. So we saw nothing until it was time to basically go back to school. Just awful.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon is a fantastic and very welcome addition. I have been meaning to pick it up for months and have just never gotten around to it. Can’t wait to play it.

Yeah. I hate preordeing, but I will when I go in and see the District Manager or someone higher up is there watching the employees. That is all those higher ups care about. That means I have about 4 preorders at my local one that I am going to cancel today when I go pick up KH3. I don’t trust that I will ever see that

Mine has had a table of clearance items since Christmas. I believe all of them do and it is to get rid of the extra crap they usually only sell as impulse buys for Christmas time. I am pretty sure that if GS goes belly up, you won’t see sales where they put all of their games super discounted. They will find other

Yup. All those scumbags have always landed on their feet. I’ve sat at too many corporate functions for GS seeing these guys promise the world to stores and their managers only for those promises to never happen and for the executives to leave with a sweet severance package as soon as they see that things may get rough

And now my comment magically appears again. Everything’s coming up Milhouse.

So not only is it impossible to get pulled out the greys on this website despite commenting regularly for years, my comments are now just not showing up. JFC, I hate kinja so much.

As a manager for this company for five years who got out and will never go back, all I can say is: fuck Gamestop as a company. They are awful to customers and employees alike and the video game industry will be as a whole better off when they are gone. That said, I do feel for anyone who will probably lose their job

I have a good friend who went to Duke with him and knew through the school newspaper. She has been telling me this for years.

I bought Madden this year for the first time in years because my cousin’s old roommate was drafted by the Bengals. I managed to play one mind-numbing season before ultimately getting bored and letting it collect dust. The video game character didn’t really look much like him either.

-2, shhheeeeiiiit, I was at -9 and I am only an hour and a half from Chicago. Lovely weather we are having.

One of my best childhood friends is an air traffic controller in California. I haven’t spoken to him since the shutdown, but I know that he is the only income for his family which has two small children. I don’t even want to know the amount of stress and pressure he is under right now.

I remember being in college when 1 came out and being totally against it until I got into it and played it. As someone with a freaking Metroid tattoo I should have never doubted it. Prime is one of my favorite games ever now.

Thanks for beating me to it. I am so tired of seeing this terrible joke.

As someone who was once a part of a newsroom layoff (albeit a small one) whose magazine is now defunct, I am so glad I chose to just go back to school and get my master’s in something other than journalism so I could have a career where I wasn’t afraid of layoffs all the time. Hope all these fine folks land on their

I’m not saying do away with collectibles. I am totally fine with a game having those. And I am fine with using them to you know unlock a special set or armor or a weapon if you collect them all. What I am not okay with is locking away a piece of the story behind them. Games have largely done away with multiple endings

Because it is something that is kind of silly and arbitrary. And the KH series is almost 20 years old. Game series evolve during that time. Games have evolved to you know, include people with disabilities who may not be able to play a hard mode on a game. If the best argument for continuing this practice of locking

No, I still play them. But arbitrarily locking content that is part of the story behind a skill wall seems a little silly to me.
