You could do this even cheaper:

Server Spy can do some of this job too, it's a Firefox extension that shows the server version. :)

I bet AT&T hate this. Awesome tip though, I'll most likely make use of this trick when I eventually get a 3G iPhone. :)

Works fine here, App Store and that Installer alternative thing which I don't like. :P

+1 for Dropbox. It's super easy and quite speedy too.

To all those using XP, stop using an old (what is it, like, 5 years+ now?) unsupported OS that just needs to die.

Or you could just use RapidShare or any one of the free hosts.

Is it just me or are these iPhone posts becoming bloody annoying? EVERY SINGLE SITE seems to be saying "omg omg iPhone" and I don't care already, just stop it! :(

I don't, but I might consider it in the future. I still need to play around a little. :)

Does it run a basic web server on the iPhone or something? If so, wouldn't it be open to anyone on a WiFi network, which poses a bit of a risk on public hotspots....right?

...why can the world just adopt a global power socket, voltage, and Hz system? >_<

I use it.

I voted No, because XP is almost 6 years old and just needs to die.

@skype24: Of course some jerk just HAD to say that...

I'm wayyyyyy too fond of the delete key.

OpenDNS works for me. :)

@virgil22: Probably because the iPhone is an extremely popular device, hence, more people use it, and hence, people would want to know about stuff like this. ;-)

@AskTheAdmin: Of course, by saying that I presume you know that Vista uses about half your RAM for it's cache, and if it's needed for other stuff it'll be shared to that program?

Sweet, my photo is popular!
