Why go anywhere else?

No word on whether or not Solich set fire to the buses prior to kickoff.

Bonus points if they provide proof of overnight parts from Japan.

Solid NP. If I were in the market for one this would get top consideration. CJ7s in this shape are easily 10k+ and those are much more common. That 4.2 will run forever with proper maintenance, even if it will never get you anywhere quickly.

Yes, and that costs money as well.  Money that could be spread across many more than 80 cars.  Livery services love stretched sedans, there would be a market for this- one that Lincoln previously abandoned at that.

This is absolutely how the Continental should have come out stock. Lincoln has been improving their look and style steadily and impressively with this generation, what it needs is some more stand out features and styling. Suicide doors and a less generic face would go a very long way to help deepen brand cache.

In the tradition of every fan convention Q&A ever, mine is more of a comment:

When do we get the pickup version?

I did a little digging and found out this guy paid $5,700 for it at Manheim Fredericksburg in October. In all its only worth about $8,000. It’s not so bad that he’s trying to double his money, he’s trying to get 160% of retail cost!

Yup, and Edmunds has it around your $7500 number. This would be an easy NP if the seller was being sensible.

If this was a free car, its still a ‘81 Malibu. The V8 likely makes good noises but its not fast. It cant move out of its own way. Its got a 3-speed. It looks terrible. And its an ‘81 Malibu. CP.

It looks like something built for a TV show.  A show about a guy who drives around, looking for work, helping people when he can, running away from his previous life as a cop.

“Aside from the cosmetics...” You say that as if it’s inconsequential. The styling was possibly is biggest failure.

Waiting for the day when I never see an image of this rainbow snow cone tattooed rapist clown face again, the filthy piece of shit. All the punches forever.

I don’t think it’s unusual - most successful ultrarunners I know eat total garbage.  It’s really hard to support that kind of sustained effort on sugar and electrolytes.

They need a better evacuation plan.

GM has regularly had good ideas. But have always screwed those ideas by what I call “The General Morons (GM) Thought Process.”

Not enough credit has been given to Jon Gruden for

I remember some GM Exec a decade ago saying that was on purpose, a transition. Increase the Malibu size, improve the Impala, increase both size and the price. Impala buyers switch to Malibu. New buyers are won over by the Impala and come over to GM.

That one has me legitimately scratching my head. They had to have spent a pretty penny on the new 4.2L TT, and that engine has to work to eventually replace the LT family one day. They can’t be killing the V8 as well.
