@dal20402: There are fewer airplanes in service and they are meticulously inspected and maintained by well trained aviation mechanics before and after every flight. Most cars don't get anywhere near that level of inspection or maintenance even once in their life, much less before and after every use.

Drive by sensor throttle control. Hate it. Think it's irresponsible at best and criminally negligent at worst.

So, the idea here is to take a car that depends on battery power for propulsion and cram as much battery-draining electronic crap into it as possible? Yeah, that makes sense.
