hahaha. california mode should be rolling all the window’s up, locking the doors, and putting the a/c system on full recirculate.
I mean, everything you just listed convinced me that having a pet over a child was the right decision.

AMG GT is a dumb name.
911 is memorable because it's what we use to dial emergency services. Everything else is a forgettable mishmash of alphanumeric soup.
Agree! I think once the Taycans are on the roads we’ll have a better understanding of where they fit. Maybe someone buying a fully loaded $100k Model S P100 whatever might cross shop a Taycan but they were probably also looking at a Panamera anyway.
Because it doesn’t matter. Everyone wants to make this a Porsche vs Tesla thing but it’s about like comparing a 911 to a Corvette. Sure, they both do similar things but they aren’t really the same.
Exactly - I’d also rather spend more time inside a Taycan, which unlike a Tesla doesn’t have a steering wheel and seats that looks like something purchased at the last minute using Amazon Prime.
Exactly. I don’t think I’ve ever once toggled the driver info dash to even see what my 911 mpg is but it handles nice and makes a nice noise. Ha!
Are we sure they didn’t just steal those miles from Porsche?
The Taycan’s mission will be to convert current Panamera owners to EVs. I don’t know why your getting all up in your own feelings over that. They were just being competitive with Tesla and not talking trash. It was Elon who not only talked his smack at the Taycan, but also went after the Taycan on the Nurburgring.
The most important metric for a Taycan buyer is range? Do you hear 911 owners complain about MPG? I think you’re missing the point.
This article was posted at 4am, I’m really hoping he was half awake and barely had his eyes opened when he looked the new suburban and Tahoe. If I take off my glasses and have my wife punch me in one eye, the new Chevy's really don't look that bad.
I don’t agree with Clarkson hating on Greta, but I think his message is valid. Why should we sit around and argue about how we are going to die and when we are going to die, instead of focusing on how to fix these issues?
Corvette has always been one of the most overrated cars on the road. I could care less what they do with their brand.
daily an RS6, i work for a company that manufacturer engines for private jets and the upkeep is insane. much rather own fun cars and fly coach
This reminds me of how Mercedes richest customers often buy an E class wagon instead of an S class
“While Mercedes may have been late to the beastly longroof game with the E55 AMG wagon in 2005, at least it had the decency to bring it to the US market. Now that the RS 6 Avant is finally here, the E63 AMG is no longer in a class by itself. On paper, it may look like an apples-to-apples comparison, but the E63 is…
Yes, or perhaps they total them to combat the crippling negative equity. My partner leased a Ghibli (before we met) and when shopping around for a new car last year tried to trade in a few months early and even Land Rover wouldn’t touch the damn thing. We kept it off the road til the end of the lease and let it go…
I feel like the e-tron is simply Audi dipping their toe in the electric water (dangerous analogy but still) with early adopters - people who want an EV that isn’t based on a regular ICE model so they feel somewhat special. I can’t imagine Audi’s end goal is to have generations of e-tron SUVs, but rather migrate the…
