You just know it’s going to be a crossover. LOL.
The smallest car I would have now would be Macan-sized, but it’s funny how where you live makes a difference. My first car in the UK was a 1999 VW Golf which felt “big” compared to the Clios and Saxos my friends had, and then last year I sold what I would consider a “small” car here in California, a Porsche Macan S.
E63 Wagon, completely debadged.
Aston’s problem is that, yes, they are a luxury supercar manufacturer with an incredible pedigree, but they priced too high for what you’re ultimately getting. Not as agile as a Ferrari or Lamborghini, yet not as luxurious and well screwed together as a Bentley. If they really want profits, they need to turn…
I don’t understand why they sell black wheels with silver window trim, especially on a press car? If you want blacked-out rims that’s fine - it’s not my thing, but you do you - but I can’t believe they don’t come with black window trim? It looks like an aftermarket Pep Boys special straight from the factory.
The S-Class is very, very different to an E-Class but the EQS and EQE have almost no distinguishable styling to set them apart. I wouldn’t be caught in either EQ.
The EQE and EQS are so similar looking (as in both are near-identical, butt ugly egg blobs) that I don’t understand why anyone will go for an EQS that’s $30k+ more once this is on the road.
No, no it won’t.
The base Q7 has everything that folks who would buy a fully-loaded Telluride would want. Actual leather? Standard. Quattro all wheel drive? Standard. A faster and more economical engine? Standard. It’s just a better car in every conceivable way.
Tellurides here in CA are going for $10k over sticker, the Q7s are actually going for MSRP. Even without that, most people lease or finance these cars, so a $4k difference is negligible.
I don’t get all the love for the Telluride. It’s not that good looking. The wheels are so small it looks cartoonish. I rode in one on a 45 minute Uber ride recently and the ride was terrible and the interior plastics were hard and shiny. If you’re paying $50k (plus some kind of ADM no doubt) a base Audi Q7 is better…
An hour? Are you talking about EVs from 2012? My Taycan charges in around 20-25 minutes with a fast charger with 280 miles of range. I haven’t felt the need to install a home charger yet.
Nobody buys a gas car and worries about having a gas station in their apartment building. By 2035 you will be able to fast charge everywhere and in a lot less time than you do today. In cities, it’ll be a lot harder to find gasoline than a charger.
I think it’s likely that customers will stop buying them even sooner than 2035 since automakers are already prioritizing EVs, and they are already spending less money on developing and marketing ICE cars. I would not be surprised if they start curbing production long before 2035 too.
