This was my first episode and I love it. Especially with science vs. military as an overall arc. It’s good scifi and good Trek. Where does it fall in the timeline ? Who cares?

I’ve enjoyed the show so far. Good scifi, good Trek. Does it match canon, timeline, prequel, etc. Who cares ? Lord, I wish they’d never done this as a prequel to TOS. The only part that I don’t enjoy is the ongoing tedious discussion of “Where does it fit in the canon?”.

Makes sense to me.

I agree with everything. I am tired of armor-y, black, grey, dingy looking out fits. Let’s get some color and spandex (ironically, the actors in the first X-Men movie reported they could barely move in the basic, tight, leathery costumes they wore.) If you are going to be jumping, fighting, flipping, etc. you wear

Such grace and style from both of them. Pay attention, folks, this is how it’s done.

I’m not sure the words “binge” and “moderation” belong together.

Yes, yes, yes and yes! All this trying to connect minutiae of this series to previous series is a silly waste of time (sorry fanboys . . . wait, no, not sorry) and ties the hands of the creators! Knock it off!

“Headphone jack ? I don’t need no stinkin’ headphone jack !”

Yeah, but . . . American movie. Just as the central characters have to be white men, they also have to be Earthers.

All they seem to have going for them is that they’re young and pretty.

Basic writing rule: show, don’t tell.

Sigh. Those four minute were so hopeful. In a way, it’s almost painfully retro, harking back to a different time and a different view of who we were and what we could accomplish.

Oh Lordy, if only it were that easy.

So it was YOU ! Trespassed on some innocent giants property, stole his stuff and killed him during the escape. You should be ashamed.

Am in the same place. Don’t always do the bulletproof coffee, but occasionally. I’ve been doing a low carb-moderate fat (very low carb, like yours) for several months. I’m losing weight and my blood sugar is under control. But you’re right, the key is losing the carbs, not a “magic coffee”

True. We need nurses, therapists, electricians, plumbers, heavy machine operators, contractors, machinists, paramedics, etc. All honorable ways to make good money. Tech may advance, but unless we wind up in the Matrix, we will always have a physical world that needs to be built and maintained.

I look at this and think: “Hellraiser”.

That’s the point: these women never think it will be them effected by these horrible policies. Never their husbands deported, never their kids without health care, never them abandoned by the party of “family values”. Then when it does happen to them they keep quiet like good little soldiers. Just like “good” women

Beautiful. This is the sort of fight direction I want to see. I get sick of shaky-cams and multi-cuts. I want to see and appreciate the choreography, just as I would if I was watching a dancer, gymnast or acrobat.

I have never had experience in high-stakes deal making, political or business, so someone with such experience please tell me: is this how it’s done? I just see a guy whining about how the situation hurts him, how he’s unhappy and doesn’t like it? Where’s the part where he explains the upside for the other guy? Why
