Brakes are literally the easiest wear part on a car to replace. It takes maybe 30 minutes to do 4 wheels yourself. Even faster if you have done it a few times. You just need a piston compressor that is 5 bucks, new pads that you can get from anywhere, and a stool to sit on after you pull off the wheel.
