The fix for this issue would be the formation of a new union by the members of the UAW that were dissatisfied with the current state of corruption in their union. Lets be fair and say that while UAW may be corrupt and a bunch of bad apples, it doesn’t mean that every union is bad.

Unfortunately many of your statements are true, but it is not our problem. It is a problem of the union members. While I personally believe that as long as the government keeps out of all the union affairs, they should be allowed to do as they wish with thier money.

Yeah, public sectors unions are going out the door as soon as we eliminate the 74,000 page tax code that gives the federal government all its power over the sovereign states. I may lean libertarian, but I am not stupid.

I am not one to criticize the quality of people in public sector unions, but there is no balance to a union that can buy politicians to get more and the government can not easily go bankrupt if they are too far in the red. Even very liberal politicians of the past understood this.
