Just saw Split last weekend and while it wasn't bad, the whole damn movie could have been about thirty minutes long with not much lost. Of course it had to be longer because James McAvoy needed to play lots of characters multiple times (and he was good) and Shymalan needed to set up Unbreakable Part 3. Don't get me

APPLAUSE

TWIN FUCKING PEAKS

I've only gotten into them over the last couple years but damn do I love Sainthood.

Sharon Van Etten - Tramp
Temple of the Dog - for the first four days after Cornell died, I cued up this album in the car so I could listen to "Say Hello 2 Heaven" and "Reach Down" first thing in the morning.
David Bowie - Blackstar

"Wish We Never Met" by The Gadjits is a great album.

I love Portishead and "Cowboys" is possibly my favorite song of theirs. "Wandering Star" and "The Rip" are in the running too. Got really fortunate and saw them live twice, "Wandering Star" was chill-inducing.

I thought his list was decent, actually!

Love that Buzzcocks song, plus it shows up in Shaun of the Dead.

Fuck this juvenile fool on my team at work who can't stop treating people like dirt, brought my potentially awesome new recruit to tears today through sheer rudeness, and who I actually had to tell today "no, you CANNOT say about a co-worker that they are 'fucking retarded' because that is UNPROFESSIONAL" (the person

Yeah but he was driving a car with a "God Bless America" bumper sticker so it was like the ultimate FREEEEDOOOOOOOM

Well, Frost wrote the book and Lynch I don't think even read it, so there's that. It drags a bit here and there but was a fun distraction for an uberfan like me leading up to the series (I read it a couple months ago, and also re-read The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer just before the premiere).

As an uberfan, it was definitely worth a read for me, but ultimately it's just a fun piece for the fans that's not meant as canon. Now that the show is actually back (huzzah!) I would put it on the back burner and just enjoy the show. The only reason I mentioned it is because the owl ring does come up in the book, and

Audrey is the anonymous billionaire who built the glass box in NYC. She's going to be critical to the series.

How do we know that's who Dougie owes? I mean it's easy to infer but I don't recall it being made explicit.

Thank you.

I mentioned this above but re: the ring, have you read The Secret World Of Twin Peaks?

Yeah I have to hand it to Showtime. They deserve a lot of credit .

That ring appears in and is important to the Secret World of Twin Peaks book.
