I am trying so hard to be patient. We are on a break (or broken up?) but definitely not acting like it. Now that the academic pressures are over (for a bit at least), I feel like we'll hang out and things will fall back into place, but I am so anxious just to get there and figure out where we stand with each other.

@Goodbye.Kitty: True! And as they are Frye, they would probably last at least as long as my car haha

@lizyfizy: I'm sorry you're lonely *hug* I often feel that way, too. But know that you aren't alone on here, and it will get better!

@thepurplellama: HAHA your autocorrect made me die laughing, I love when that happens. Thanks for the tip, I'll check them out online!

@PenelopePeony: Sadly no :-( I did rationalize like 12 reasons why I deserved them before I thought about my bank account, but no...no boots for me this time. Tragedy.

@bonjoursimone: Thanks for the tip! I always feel more rewarded when I get an amazing deal on something like that...350$ doesnt feel like that much of a deal!

@Winnie.Pooper: I know my friend just had a lovely wedding in Douglas Mass, they rented a mansion on one of the lakes. It was cozy and intimate, like having a backyard wedding, but enough space for dancing and a reception! Here is the link: [www.mansioninthewoods.com]

In DSW today, I saw one (only one) pair of Frye boots. In my size. In my favorite color brown. Marked down from $500 to $350.

I really hope those are actually Alec Baldwin's arms.

Darren Aronofsky on Wolverine 2, eh? Imma throw out a wild guess and say that the film will be accompanied by a tense and claustrophobic but hauntingly beautiful score by Clint Mansell. Also, the movie will be fucked up and heart breaking. *is a movie geek*

It seems a little strange to me to say absolutely that her behavior can't be attributed to age because someone else who is older than her (Babs) is more articulate and lucid. I have seen patients in their 50s completely lost to senility and age (which is devastating to see), and I have seen 95 years olds with memory

Whenever people reference events for which they will always remember exactly where they were, what was happening, I always thing of the JFK assassination. That was so long ago, and so much a part of our collective consciousness, that it is odd to me that I, too, have an event like that. I was not directly affected

Double posted to GT, but...

@rodmanstreet: The way you describe the pain (pins and needles, sharp, itchy) makes me think that it is more likely to be nerve-related pain. It is possible that a muscle injury or tension is causing inflammation or pressure on a nerve, causing the pain. I am wondering a few things: does it radiate at all, either

@rodmanstreet: I'm only a med student, so I might not be able to give you an absolute answer, but I'd definitely give it a try! What's going on?

@WendyPeffercorn: Exactly! I saw a poor young woman who had endured MULTIPLE colposcopies by her mid-twenties for no reason other than abnormal pap smears. This is yet another reason why preventative health care is ALWAYS cheaper and more cost-effective than emergent and procedural care.

I'd like to second something that was said further down-thread. Part of the necessity of vaccinating at such a young, "pre-sexual" age, is the fact that HPV infection is so prevalent now in the teen population, that the goal is in part to address that issue. The majority of teens that are sexually active and coming

Stark contrast between ex-Boy and current Boy.

@sequined: Marfan's is actually a disorder of the connective tissue, specifically in the protein fibrillin, so in addition to the characteristic stature, there are also a number of symptoms that manifest in the joints, heart valves, aorta (they are very prone to aortic dissection), lungs, and even the skin. That's

@clothandcake: Thank you for your comment. Every time there is a post that in some way addresses BMI or weight versus health, or new guidelines for how much weight is ideal to gain during pregnancy (that one really bothered me), I get very frustrated. As a med student and a scientist, I feel compelled to add to the
