He should be suspended, I agree. Personally, I think the man is a hack in general, and shouldn't be employed for that reason. As it stands, he has a job, can feed his loved ones, and isn't encouraging violence against gays, just expressing a divergent opinion.

Well by any standard it only could be considered for heroism status if he'd actually caught the damn ball. Ultimately hustle isn't worth too much unless something is actually accomplished.

I don't agree with the man, I just don't think he should be fired for doing his job. Everyone has bigoted opinions of some sort, whether they realize it or not. I don't believe he was doing anything illegal, and his job is to express his opinion on national tv.
