Absolutely amazing episode. My only concern now is whether the series is going to do what so many series do, by having a kickass penultimate episode which promises even more kickassery in the finale, only to actually have everything simmer down and just pave the way for the next season.

Pretty sure O'Bannion took two dozen. Without that he would have come complete bottom in the competition, so I'm not sure why he had placed so much hope on winning.

100% agree. Out of all the quirk over substance films available to choose as an example the writer opts for one that is genuinely good in its own right. How post post post ironic does anyone need to be? We can't just enjoy funny, entertaining, mildly heartwarming films for what they are now?
