Now I am just imagining this is what a futuristic Six-Days would look like.

Or, he was working with what he has. I would rather have an X5 as a daily driver than a Subaru personally.
I have seen riders put knobbier tires on a hypermoto (don’t know if I have seen a Duc, but similar bikes). As long as you are doing trails and not overland stuff I would say you are fine. Most of the time I stick to fire roads and farm roads anyways, and I have a DS. I have a real dirt bike for jumps and dunes.
I had never heard of these dudes! Time to go binge some videos.
That’s what happened here, it has a pumper carb on it now which is the best I have found for my combo of mods, but it sputters at top end. I just can’t win!
Nice job! That looks fantastic. It looks more like a street bike with the fairings covering most of the engine and stuff, like a crazy mutated cbr600rr.
I love my XR650L, but good god I am sick of carburetors. I have gone through about 5 different jetting configs and two different carbs and the bike still doesn’t behave the way I want. EFI also works in colder temps better. They could even put rads behind the huge side number plates too.
I am looking at one to replace my old cheap helmet, have you tried both the carbon and regular? Is the weight a big deal?
Well, I don’t know about bad luck, but as a rider that gets on a bike that has a center-stand, I don’t get on from the right side ever. When you get on a bike you usually grab the bars to steady yourself, and grabbing the throttle is not something that you want to do.
