Wow your state/energy provider sucks. Here in CA, under SMUD, I was able to buy 2 packs of Phillips bulbs for like $6 at Home Depot. Now they have CREE's for something similar. If they all did this we'd reduce our energy (and mercury dumping in landfills) by a huge percentage.

I just recently drove like 10 hours to Vegas and back each way for a long weekend when I could have got a plane ticket for less than I spent on gas. But, didn't have to get radiated or felt up or have my stuff stolen (or throw up in the airplane bathroom on the way back from the hangover), so, #win.
