Giving these moments strong, purposeful contexts. Plenty of stories tackle abuse or sexual trauma in ways that are both shocking but nevertheless empathetic. I don’t think Cage’s stories manage that, unfortunately.

Its a candidate for the best game ever made and I think it has best JRPG locked down tight. Perhaps Final Fantasy VI could give it a run for its money.

Now playing

One thing Chrono Trigger does really well that gets overlooked compared to, well, everything else that it does really well is its pacing. Every moment matters, the game never lulls or tries to pad itself. This is something even more appreciated today, where many games treat hours of content as a high score to be

Typical Dutchman comment.. 😋

Yes...a Proper Pokemon Game for Real Gamers because a game about 12-year-olds wandering the country and befriending adorable critters is the highest level of Serious Business...so yes, there better be a Proper Pokemon, or all of us Grown Ass Adult Gamers will scream, gnash teeth, and send death threats...

This looks like Wii sports meets Pokémon and I’m fine with that.

All it’s done recently is gotten rid of the monotony of traveling and leveling. Unless you just LOVED the grinding in the older games, the new games provide just as much entertainment and challenge when it comes to battle/team comp and then there is multiplayer too. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t personally think

If by easier you mean less tedious, then yes.

I’m okay with that. To be perfectly honest, I don’t have the time to dump into grinding the way the original games asked. And to be double honest, I look back on my life and think the hours of free time I did have for that were a monumental waste.

Outside of the fact that Wild Pokemon encounters are PoGo style capture, it certainly seems like a remake of Pokemon Yellow. We’ll probably need to wait for more details to be sure, but the trailer does show traditional trainer battles, so it definitely hints at that, just with some PoGo features.

Blades of Steel was a 2D fighting game for the NES that also had a pretty elaborate ice hockey mini-game.

Went in with little expectation. I’m actually rather excited for it now.

That “he got cut in half and has robot legs now” isn’t sufficient explanation for a 30 second cameo is mostly a reflection on how dense the moviegoing public are.

As cool as this was, the fact that it needs an explanation for any audience member who didn’t watch two cartoon series means that it is a failure in the storytelling.

Going to see the movie this weekend I had to explain the events of Clone Wars and Rebels to two family members who both responded to the ending with:

I HAVE THINGS I NEED TO DO - WHY?

I think it’s safe to say that everything will end before One Piece does.

That’s like trying to pick the best Zelda game, or compare New Hope to Empire. They’re both so good it’s pointless trying to determine which is better :P

... sorry, someone everyone had to make that joke so I just couldn’t resist.

Damn, even cosmetic surgery procedures cost lest than those. Sorry can’t help it.

So after a bit of research; it’s a status symbol, a way to give back to the farmers, a really lovely pair of melons.
