@RatherDashing: the gameboy was the first handheld i had other than those pocket watch games. and that was a huge step. from there i guess it was game gear? that was color and that was awesome. I don't recall even seeing a lynx in the stores. Virtual Boy was pretty cool, but that didnt stick, and not sure where

I've been out of the loop on MvC3 until i started seeing commercials on tv.

@JaeJun: haha, agreed, I just don't want to pay $300+ for it.

@m0m0: well if it didn't then it would be a shame...lol, I'm just saying, I'm not questioning its capabilities, i would hope that it could play games like mgs4.

@SageofMusic: lol, you'd be surprised with the prices you can get on the street of NYC when the guy sells it on a table next to a van.

@pandafresh: got it. Marketing kind of just uses whatever words it wants at the time to make their's seem better huh? with the consoles it was the "next step", and now its just, well its not the old ones, its the newer ones.

@Hongo: phones can be used as wireless hotspots, so the 3G aspect as you described is unnecessary (and I'm not even sure possible). Of course the hotspot has a fee, and the apps would probably have to be bought.

@Zelyre: true but you can already get high end phones free with contract (except iphones), so can we get that deal?! Even then early termination is probably like $150-200??

So what makes it next generation?

@SageofMusic: I would love for it to be gameboy portable, but for what we really want, I am fine with the size of this thing. Can i go in my pocket? no. but its good for roadtrips, plane rides, or any kind of travel where you already have a bag.

@iiStryker: we're not talking about the IPAD, it's the, oh, wait, nm. hehe.

@adinnieken: So does it play nintendo and M$ games if its neutral? jkjk!

@SageofMusic: good point, but does this really fit in a pocket?

@adinnieken: I agree and disagree, since a slider might just mean thicker, you know?

I never got a psp because it only had one analog stick. I would love to be able to play battlefront anywhere i go, as well as other FPS.

I never got into GW, but this makes me curious to say the least.

@Demonbird: I'm not surprised, but thats the every day consumer for you.

I didn't think it would catch on, but by the time Xmas was over, 5 ppl in my family have one, and only 2 of us are serious gamers. Its fun for the kids, and great for parties, so I'm not surprised so many are out there.
