I have a somewhat irrational dislike for Lea Michele...
Depends on where you live - in Boston there are events lined up almost every other day for the next month. Not as big or flashy as the march on Saturday, but probably more important.
I would like Jezebel to start a tag called “Moments of Joy”. This would qualify. No politics, no judgement, just moments in time of people truly enjoying whatever experience they are part of. Sometimes you just gotta see someone having fun. letting go, and being present and joyful.
Every time I learn something new about Robin Thicke the more it seems he could use a punch in the dick.
I have to agree somewhat with the officer though when he stated that it was more plausible he was grabbed by the neck as opposed to “choked” since she didn’t even call for medical attention
You do not choke a child, period.
That guy is the root’s own Locomotive Jones. Just ignore his ass. Dismiss when you can.
I didn’t say you were Black. You should read and write more carefully. I said that people who live in the projects are not necessarily Black and that you should not conflate the two. Because when you do this:
Uh... alright man. Point taken.
People who live in the projects != Black people. It would be greatly appreciated if you didn’t conflate the two.
My niece is biracial—her dad is Jamaican—and her mom (my sister) didn’t even get the Sicilian hair that I inherited ( I started straightening my hair when I was 10 and stopped when I let my hair grow out in my 20s. I am now 58). So she doesn’t know how to handle her hair, short of a bad braid, and my sister can’t…
My mother had a wig in the late 60s (lots of white women did) - it looked very French, omg hair with bangs. I remember I loved it, she would wear tunics and miniskirts with it, it was a whole look. She also had a ‘fall’ (a hair piece I guess) and never tossed it out. Every now and then I would stumble on it while…
J Lo is the ultimate secret wig wearer. She’s tricky in that she’ll wear her bio hair in a bun or something so you assume it’s always all her but in many photos, you can see the deep set parting at the bangs to distract from the lace front and how she’ll pull ‘baby hairs’ in front to mask the line.
You think she cares? She has a relationship with her biological mother, and the only people who should be discussing Paris’s paternity are the two of them. She has been asked about his paternity her entire life, not out of concern for her, but out of people’s curiosity about Michael Jackson. I think Paris Jackson has…
These are Black people, too. Slash from Guns and Roses, Jennifer Beals, the list goes on and on from people who ‘don’t look Black’.
You cannot tell if someone is Black by looking at them. I repeat, not all Black people look the same.
Remember Jael Strauss from ANTM? She’s biracial (her mom is Black).
I can’t look at Paris without remembering her speaking at one of his public memorials and saying, “ever since I was born, daddy was the best father you could imagine.” My heart still breaks for her.
Shia LaBeouf shouting down Hitler youth idiots at his art for peace project is fun.
