They worked on my mom for over an hour, I think it’s seriously just luck in how quick you’re found and resuscitation is started and strength of your heart.

When I was but a wee lil pixie in the early 80's my mom left me alone in the apartment while she went to take the trash to the chute. In less then 20 seconds I had somehow managed to lock her out and refused to let her back in. As we lived on the 19th floor, she rightly panicked and called 911.

After my mom died, my cat would always look in one particular corner of the ceiling. Ever since, every night I look up at that spot and say night mom..sadly I say night to my kitty there now as well.

When I was 15, someone who went to my high school decided to throw a random party in a bar/nightclub. Obviously it was all ages, but BFF and my mothers had been to said bar/nightclub before and didn’t care if it was all ages, no way in hell were we allowed to go.
