Rebecca -don't be so hard on yourself. I've lived in FL for a while (and can't wait until I escape again) and yeah - you can't be too sure with this state.

It maaay have been an oversight on your part - or your subconscious just TOTALLY abandoning all sensible expectations :)

Oh wow, Pope Francis IS a Jesuit. Damn, maybe I TORE OFF that rear-view mirror and threw it out the window in high school...

About the Pope deal - I have no clue whatsoever. I had a protracted "get the eff away from Jesus" moment in HS, and haven't spent much time looking in the rear-view since.

Oh I understand that you're not disagreeing with me - BUT I must ask, what part of the country do you or most of the people you know live in, if you don't mind me asking?

Because I went to Catholic school from grades 2-8. And our education was diiiiismal. As in sex education consisted of listing STDs as reasons not

Bogart - I agree with your point for many here not to blindly bash religion - I myself am currently sitting in a room with my mother who is still convincing herself I am a believing Anglican and still sends me a bible at least 1-2x year. This, despite me NEVER having sought out a church since leaving home 13 years

I completely agree with you, and would have posted almost exactly those same words ahd I not been airborne earlier today.

When consenting adults agree to do something which doesn't harm others - be it beautiful awesome group sex or ...not so awesome restrictive religion (do I seem biased?? prolly not...) then it's

OKAY - I had a classmate do the same thing during one of our courses. Mind you it's a grad program, and there are only 30-odd of us, so the prof saw him RIGHT away and was super-perplexed.

Is this a THING people DO?? Because...just, no. No.

Oh, and I didn't answer your original question. She was born with a vagina, and probably was wearing CLOTHES at some point - so yeah, she did.

I was having a conversation with a friend about Rick Scott's horrible proposals for higher ed. here in FL, and this braniac's bill reminds me of my reaction - that is, I would sincerely like to ask these people who propose these dumb dumb dumb things How do they realistically think it will work and what they think the

And the poor! Don't forget them (I'm looking at you Palo Alto. And Orlando. And West Palm Beach. oh hell...most major cities. *sigh*)

Who let this woman near a computer machine?!

Oh wait - your husband must have mounted it to the stove-top. Well I won't question his motives, that clever man!

I'm a bit late in here but I am curious - why did you and your husband agree not to search each others' post histories?

...and you don't have the thin plastic bristles melting or otherwise degrading in the heated dry?

My commiserations for how much you probably aged from stress alone hearing that. Seriously.
Your interaction with your grandmother reminds me of how many Catholics were reacting to the admission of their church of priests having molested and raped children for decades...over multiple continents...and the church

Exaaaactly. It boggles my mind that he and his PR team aredoing stupid crap like appealing to Twitter users for cute memes, passively encouraging the "black media" - because the ONLY people capable of empathizing with blacks are black themselves - to remain 'neutral', having his daughter and wife appeal on his

I still can't wrap my head around a woman saying this. No matter how anti-feminist or, in this case, blind to logical rationale. Just...incredible.

I've read elsewhere that to kill off those germs, leave toothbrush bristles submersed in mouthwash - being sure to use one with alcohol. Same germ killing effect with less risk of melting/bristle loss from the heated dry. I presume you use the heated dry cycle unless your cleaning agent is germ-/fung-/virucidal.

Stig - I won't presume to know what color your skin is or within what ethnic culture you were raised in or around, but I will state that I do find it hard to believe you've had much contact with Black culture.

Why I say this: You view this as poling fun at the "thug life" of gangs. That is not the hermetically sealed

Oh, I know I probably came off as ignoring that balance - but we're on the exact same page. I just sincerely feel that American culture has overemphasized the pursuit of one's "bliss" as if anything you want to do will bring you success - financial, material, emotional, social, and otherwise - guaranteed.

I agree with most of the sentiments - but your delivery could have used some more tact.
