Conservatives are afraid of everything. The whole political philosophy is based on fear: of change, of others, of differing opinions and religions, of crime, of butt-sex, etc.

There is solid evidence that people who vote conservative/Republican tend to have a stronger fear response, and tend to make decisions based on that response. It’s crazy to see this guy state it so boldly, though, since Republicans generally loathe being seen as weak or afraid of anything. I’m with you, that anyone…

I don’t know that anyone will see this comment (yay hierarchical kinja), but I was struck by his comment about “paralyzing fear” of being attacked. Maybe just a lame excuse for him, but I think that anyone who can’t rationally process the fears of the world is not rational enough to make decisions for the rest of us,…

I worked at Chrysler from 2011-2014 and everyone I talked to who was working there prior to bankruptcy talked about how much better the work environment, handling of programs, and overall quality of employment was after Fiat took control. He did more good for that company than most people will ever realize.

And always look up the flight tracker to see how close the planes are coming. Many people come to the city council meetings to complain about the planes when they moved within 5 miles of an international airport. Be aware that the planes may take off from a different direction at times. 

I stupidly bought a house a quarter of a mile from a very busy interstate highway. Still stuck in it, many more tens of thousands of dollars underwater than I care to think about.

Peasants?  Dudes afraid his own employees won’t recognize him and will kick his ass or kill his dog for pressing the call button.  

When you’re afraid of the peasants lynching you, GTFO. Seriously, I have zero respect for people like that. Like Scott Pruitt, who absolutely had to fly first class to not be accosted by us, the lowly everyday people. If it gets to that point, you’re doing it wrong, and you need to leave.

If people reclining into your space is an issue, just fly Spirit. No one can recline on Spirit. It’s awesome.
