Agreed. Jumping over that highway, had it gone wrong, he could have gone into traffic and caused a major accident. This train one, what happens if the bike gets under a train and causes it to skip off the track? There’s plenty of possible ways that things could go very badly and hurt alot of people.

Yeah, one thing I’ve learned as I’ve grown older - you should go to funerals of people you know whenever it’s not a major inconvenience (though if they’re really close, then you go anyway). Their families really appreciate it. If you “don’t do” funerals, you need to get over yourself - nobody fucking likes them.

The big difference is that the Marvel movies are made by people who love, or at least get the source material, and accept it for what it is. The DC films and Gotham are made by people who are actively embarrassed to be making movies and TV shows that are about Superman and Batman, even tangentially so.

Her family can (and will I’m assuming) sue the department. And then racists will talk about them profiteering from their deaths and injuries.

Can anything be done legally when failures like this happen? Is there a clear path for restitution for the surviving child?
