I love small cars, especially small sporty cars. The Miata and several others are proof that with excellent dynamics you don’t need “grunt” to make a car that is fun and rewarding to drive. With that said, I wouldn’t turn away more power if the chassis is up to the task.

Speed bumps should be designed to cause no damage when you’re going the speed limit. In my area, some 15mph zones have speed bumps that are really severe and if you hit one going 15mph you’re likely to be paying some dough for some new suspension bits.
