I am having the total opposite experience with my Surface 2. Absolutely love it, though there are some growing pains. I don't have a laptop, but this does Office and web browsing and video watching, everything I would want out of a laptop. Plus it's lighter, thinner, and gets way better battery life. My only gripes

Passing on the iPads. The Kindle HDX and Nexus 7 have my attention and I'm on the fence.

Why on earth would you waste your money on a Mac Pro to game? Serious question. Unless you absolutely have to use Mac for some professional use (so you'd buy it anyway), there really is no reason to drop that kind of money when you can build your own tower that is better and cheaper.
