I don't either. I think it's a sad reflection of Hollywood culture that we all know what "casting couch" means.

One last thing - "Contrapasso" is part of Dante's Inferno and means "suffer the opposite." It's a punishment in the afterlife in which the sinner experiences the opposite of his sin. A voyeur would lose his eyes, an exhibitionist would have an ugly body, etc. In Inferno, soothsayers have their heads on backwards so…
In an episodic show, the writers risk either losing the audience out of confusion prior to the big reveal, or losing the audience because the big reveal is a let down. However, because HBO invests in good writing as much it does cinematography, my hope is that these episodes are more dense and layered than they…
THC caused me to laugh out loud in this episode (again). SJP, not so much. If she wanted to move out of the being identified with the neurotic and narcissistic Carrie Bradshaw, why did she pick this role and play it as if she is EXACTLY an older version of the neurotic and narcissistic Carrie Bradshaw married to Aiden…
"Where's Carl?" Who would think a second post apocalyptic show would use a major theme of quarreling parents losing their kid? Zack has been used an irritating MacGuffin through this whole season, allowing the writers a POV in the Strigoi camp and giving Eph a sympathetic reason to go back to drinking.
"Surely this is how we make our own ghosts. We make them out of ourselves."
You're my kind of girl.
It's got to be Bill. Tom would be trying to comfort the baby.
"SIDNEY'S DEAD!!!!"
Not only did she sleep with the guy 32 times, but she's mad at Robert for not getting over it. And poor Frances for having to take a high paying job to help support her family.
Agreed, especially considering the cost of "converting" Monument Valley to a theme park (if indeed the theme park is supposed to be a physical space and not some kind of giant simulator).
I agree with you that it creates a plot hole. Might you consider that $40,000 in the future could be the equivalent of $4,000 today? People spend that much all the time to be locked up on a cruise ship with strangers and enough food per person to feed a Sudanese village for a year.
Robert is funny, but gallant and broken. Frances is so self-centered that she is hard to like. She never really wants Robert back, but she doesn't want to her kids to hate her.
I love "San Junipero, " a very compassionate version of the future.
I just watched "Shut Up an Dance. " what a heartbreaking story,
This episode reminds me of the bullfight or the rodeo in which the crowd goes wild with glee when the animal dies. It's says so much more about the crowd than the animal.
the most disturbing part of this is the glee of enjoyment of the other people in the film.
I loved this episode. Creepy and poignant at the same time,
I thought the same thing.
Omg. This episode was painful, and so well done.
