That has its own set of problems for a cello because the instrument had to be unstrung and soundpost removed for that type of transit. Then Re set up upon arriving which can cost a lot, and damage during transit can easily occur anyway. Buying a seat for the cello is the best bet

We plan on traveling again...the only thing holding us back now are little kids, currently 3 and 14 mos. I really don’t want to fly with toddlers. So we will probably do road trips for awhile until they are older.

Good Morning Tom, I know this adventure was thrown through a loop with this whole fiasco. But hearing how you and your wife explore the world with a disability is quite amazing. You both are an inspiration to all. I wish you and your wife the best in your adventures and I can't wait to read about the next one.

This is one of the main reasons I rarely fly, and will instead waste DAYS in my car driving across the country (Don’t get me wrong I love driving!) rather than fly. Since 1999 (old enough to buy my own tickets) I’ve flown 4x round trip. Most recently I was brave enough to take my power wheelchair, all prior flights
