the communal experience is great when it is opening day\weekend for something big like a star wars or avengers - when the whole crowd is into it and cheering and such it is fun. otherwise  -yeah an empty theater is better

it's also 120 bucks a year to watch 2 shows 

yeah, on the toilet, or for me the bus. i have about 1.5 to 2 hours a day on the bus to work,  i could turn that to buku movie tickets
