This week on AV Club True Detective episode 7, everyone talks about one man's grade, C, instead of the actual show.

And I give a shit because……

You, are high.

Who gives a shit about the grade? I don't even read the article half the time, I'm here for all you lovely people.

Yeah, they did a real good job at making that scene and guy in Episode 3 very fleeting and seemingly non-important.

Rookie cops just blow him off, when Rust would (and did) have asked him more and seen into his soul (did before, but was cut short when Marty was honking the horn).

This was mostly a Rust-Marty re-union episode, and it was stupendous.

Calm before the storm.

Yeah, plus why on god's green earth would you jeopardize a relationship with Amy Smart in any way.

Yeah, ok that's kind of what I thought.

Hey uh, lack of class? She is the Crowe's scheming sister, she's just trying to milk him for information, and Raylan knows it.

Nah, they beat him up AFTER Ava got beat up. Sayin something like "If she cuts herself shaving, i'll kill you." Like I thought threatening the life of the skinhead dude would keep Ava safer.

Am I missing something, or did Boyd not threaten large skinhead dude at gun point into having his large skinhead sister protect Ava?

yeah, I thought about that later

I'm aware, but it's mentioned in Call of Cthulhu. And in True Detective. That's kind of the whole point, keeping that mythos alive.

Yes. That show was the bomb. If you didn't like it, I could care less.

Yeah, I like the "no compromise" thing as well. And it's no coincendence that all 3 of those shows are on HBO, a place where creatives are given virtually total freedom. An enormous rarity for the screen medium.

Yup, but it's unique in that Nic P. has used a non-linear storytelling system (much like a flat circle) to still keep his audience guessing, and people conversing on disqus.

With Lance Armstrong.

Damn good question. What has Marty been doing?
