I made the same mistake. I naturally assumed it was just the AV Club’s usual complete lack of copy-editing.
Haha, I totally misread that! I missed the first word in the headline, so I thought it said “Avengers: Infinity War still goes back to Wakanda” and I was like, “Yeah, no shit!”
The video itself is not up to Jezebel standards. It’s a big jab at how vapid and vacuous she sounds. A Jezebel article would spin this around as another example of how some idiot manchildren underestimate the powerful business savvy of teenage girls at their own peril.
Somebody spilled their Jezebel in our GJ,I.
Why would you even suggest some shit like that? Are you trying to fight me or something?
“He has also said that he deliberately avoided learning details about the sequels... (On the other hand, the information was out there)“
That’s a really nonsensical editorialization. Like imagine if someone said, “I drove cross-country because I enjoy road trips.” How insufferable do you have to be if you just HAVE…
Aaah. So it’s nine inch-nails, not nine-inch nails?
Did you stop watching Marvel films before Guardians of the Galaxy?
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed American Vandal, that show was sneaky good. Haven’t tried My Big Mouth yet, but ill breakdown eventually.
If he didn’t change his mind, would you applaud him for sticking to his principles?
One reason we can lay off the “well, it’s about fucking time” stuff. It really doesn’t matter why or how someone comes around to reason, it’s enough that they do. Everything else is just patting yourself on the back for seeing it earlier. (Not saying “you” as in you, BO, just in general.) Someone recently said that…
If we want to change anything for the better, we have to be welcoming to former opponents who change their mind, regardless of the reason. And I credit him for acknowledging that it shouldn’t have taken it happening to him.
“Keeter is a former proponent of the Second Amendment, who now believes we need tougher gun laws.”
The world needs more of this. It is very wise to admit a mistake and do your best to correct it.
Agreed. If I recall correctly, that’s where they begin weaving in the serial aspect of the show. Even before that, the show was a lot of fun, however “Ballad of Fallen Angels” is probably where it started to get serious and really caught on to me.
I would also say that the ability of the show to have different themes…
Although I also gave Cowboy Bebop a college try and never really took to it, I will say that Sean’s model is a bit flawed if he can just bail on something. I mean, let’s take the term literally and pretend this is a college course and you’ve been assigned something. You can’t just stop reading Pride and Prejudice…
I didn’t want to be “that guy,” but if you don’t make it to “Ballad of Fallen Angels” (the fifth episode), you’re not really giving Cowboy Bebop a fair shake.
Cowboy Bebop is really a show that deserves to be watched all the way through, certainly not ditched after two episodes. That has nothing to do with it being an anime. It is just one of my favorite stories and series. It has a bit of a slow-burn buildup that really pays off. To write it off, or write off anime in part…
Here’s a non-grey to reiterate the same thing. “...in the pursuit of political aims” is an important part of the definition. Causing terror is not the sole criterion.
