OK, some of y’all are starting to piss me off.

It’s very embarrassing that someone actually thought that a 3 mile trip warranted a car. I love cars, but this is the exact reason the bicycle was invented.

what’s worse is people’s thirst for “awwwww” when they do something honorable or helpful. Just do it and move on. They don’t have to seek 10 million views in a “I gave a homeless man $100" video. General kindness going viral literally makes their pee pees hard. That’s just sad. That is a lowered bar that needs

Buy a bike may be? Like bicycle, without a motor.

What about every other place besides work? Texas cities are not known for to be pedestrian friendly and is sub par as far as public transport

Yes, it’s not far. But here’s another thought - the guy was working a crappy job to try to save up and get a car. Now that he’s got one, he might be able to find a better paying job that’s further away. He might be able to attend some career training after/before work to get into a career.

Texas heat is not fun dude. Not even for people in good shape

Wouldn’t a bicycle be the ideal commuting vehicle for these distances? No fuel cost, little to no maintenance, zero emissions, no insurance requirements either.

Oh shit, here we go...

It’s a scientific fact that one can walk extreme distances by pulling vertically on straps attached to ones footwear.

Exactly my first thought. This person is staying in shape, keeping the air clean, and probably catching some sweet Pokemon on the way and that all is being ruined by A FUCKING CAMRY.

It’s a lot for an American

thats what i was thinking... love the fact they did it and all... but 3 miles is just a stroll (tho admittedly.. a shite stroll when the weather has its say)

Probably sucks to show up to work soaked to the bone after walking an hour in the rain though.

See, I’ve been wondering the same thing, as that model Jeep GC is exactly what I own, and I’m even looking this very evening to upgrade from a 4.7 to a Hemi at a local dealer.
So, the HEMI has a 8,200 lb towing capacity, verses 6,500 (IIRC) for the 4.7. That was back in 2005 & 2006. Go into recent years and the numbers

I live in an apartment. Is that going to be a problem?

I just sort of skimmed the article, but I think I got the gist of it.

This is primarily due to the chimp’s higher fast-twitch fiber content, which enables high force and power, but lower endurance.

I used to work for JD Power, you know, the quality people?
