I’m still on a 26 too. Can’t bring myself to spring for a new bike, but even so I probably wouldn’t go for a 29. There’s a nice 26 with lots of travel on the list first - and all because I don’t love the geometry on my current 26 with lots of travel.

This happened to me once. I tracked the thing on its way in but didn’t have time to move my head. Freaky as hell. I later switched to full faced helmets, and wondered why I’d even thought an open helmet was a good idea.
