I find her awful and her message awful. Violence begets violence, end the cycle.

I think he is just restating the Catholic Church’s position. He does note that he thinks it should be a woman’s choice. And maybe the women he has personally spoken with or come into contact with have suffered from their choice and so he is speaking from that frame of reference.
