It seemed to me to be Don wresting some sense of control back. He hasn't had a mistress all season and his wife isn't as easily tossed aside/around as the last one. He'd just been made a dupe by Lane and had been duped in the previous episode by all the founders - Joan included. Getting back into the driver's seat…
