“We’re also trying to snag up all the streamer names, so they might decide to play elsewhere.”
“We’re also trying to snag up all the streamer names, so they might decide to play elsewhere.”
In BC I remember having to run away from groups of Horde players invading early Alliance territory while high level Alliance guilds came to intervene. You’d be passing through and some decked out players would be yelling “Don’t go to Stormwind, Horde is raiding it” to deter low level players from walking into the…
I would pay a premium to not have any twitch streamers on my server....sigh....I miss the days before this nonsense "profession".
The game itself is pretty boring, people call it spreadsheets in space. But i love reading the stories about the game like the wars and backstabbing that goes on.
This is the best damn thing I’ve seen in a long time.
That Vince Staples cameo absolutely killed me. He rules.
I mean it’s pretty common practice it seems. From enemies and Teammates. Why I start carrying a dagger to shank those that try to stop the music and a smoke bomb for quick get aways.
The golden ring of hell.
Oh brother... All the poor VFX artists slaving away in front of their computers from now until November working 22 hour days on the fucking Sonic The Hedgehog movie. It sounds like the lowest ring of hell.
but they are not giving that option, they are saying “Here is a fat stack of money to only sell through us.” Hoping that the funneling all users through their store front will make up for the investment. If you want people to use your store front, build a better store.
Why do you care? Are you selling games? You sound like a “Epic bro” to me for defending Epic with something that vast majority of consumers care nothing about. Why do you guys never talk about how great the store itself is? Oh, wait, you can’t because it’s barely a storefront as it is.
Steam, Origin, Uplay, GOG Galaxy, EPIC...sometimes its not about allegiance, its simply about not wanting 9000 different fucking launchers when almost all the games you play are already on just one.
Oh cool, Borderlands 3 comes to Steam just in time for it to be cheap enough for me to buy it.
What could be considered “predatory” pricing strategies coupled with exclusivity clauses is hardly a means for fostering competition.
Epic “We’re going to open our own store to promote competition”
It’s funny how Epic talks about being against Valve’s “anti-competitive” practices yet are quick to make all of these games exclusive to one storefront meaning there’s no competition. Can’t really have it both ways. The only people winning in all of this are the publishers cashing all of these checks from Epic.
It is not safe, but you’re never going to stop people from doing it, and regardless, still increases efficiency as opposed to having people try and push past others when in a rush.
The stand on the right side and walk on the left escalator rule is a bad one. Firstly it promotes uneven wear (more on the right side) on the escalator “belt” leading to increased repairs. Secondly it is not safe to walk on moving “treads.” Thirdly there is about a 30% increase in throughput by simply standing on both…
