Surely I'm not the only one who feels that Ubisoft should give the AC series a break and move on to some new IPs, am I? I plan on playing Unity, but I certainly am getting tired of the samey vibes from each "new" entry into the AC universe. Maybe taking some time away would allow for the development of some…
III tried to bring some fresh elements to the series (and it did!) but ultimately fell flat in regards to the story. So yeah, skipping III is probably the best idea here if you're looking to get into the stories presented within the AC games.
5. It's Not Really Newcomer-Friendly
Pretty sure it was stated that it'd be released in a similar manner that VoG was, which was a week or so after the game's initial release. Regardless of the price I think it's asinine for people to pay a third of the price (of the base game) for what does not equate to a third of the game's overall content.
Yeah... the "expansion" comes with one new raid (which wont be available from the get-go), 3 new campaign missions, 3 new multiplayer maps, and two strikes (with one being PS4 exclusive for quite a while) - all for twenty bucks. What an absolute joke.
This is more of a Kirk one: Improve driving, or lose it. We're not sold on the fact that Watch Dogs needs to be an open world game, but if it does, the driving's got to be significantly improved. Car chases shouldn't be nearly so irritating, and cars need to handle better than horse-drawn buggies. At least, this is…
"Um.. yeah. This was an unintended feature."
Even if the DLC somehow (and I highly doubt it) managed to rectify the joke of a story that was initially handed to us I doubt I would buy it as it is twenty-fucking-bucks. For twenty dollars I expect content equal to at least a third of the game. Not a sixth, with a good portion being withheld to some paying…
Which is insane considering that the first two DLC "expansions" are $20 a pop.
"Heists"
I'm only 52 on my WW Monk and damn do I feel overwhelmed with the amount of abilities I've been given so far.
My main is undead and I can certainly say, after leveling up a new undead monk through Tirisfal/Silverpine, the questing experience is entirely new and infinitely more interesting than it once was.
Leveling back then was a much slower process. BoA heirlooms speed it up, certainly, but even then you're getting tons of exp from questing as well as dungeon running (which actually have the quests located within the dungeons themselves as opposed to out somewhere else in the world). I kinda miss that whole bit about…
Me and a friend of mine we were unfortunate enough to be stuck with Ghandi on our side of the world during one of our first few matches. After being bullied by the fucker (during the nuclear era/atomic age) we managed to essentially quarantine his last remaining city behind a wall of mech and artillery units. It was…
I thought the same about Destiny's upcoming "expansion."
Planetary exploration would be awesome. They did recently show off what they plan on doing for planetary landings in case you didn't see, but it's pretty much scripted. I've heard that station and carrier landings will be manual though.
