Like me and a friend have discussed, I doubt it will remain subscription based for more than a handful of months - maybe a year. Maybe. After that I'm sure it'll turn free to play and have a sub model similar to SWTOR.

I played the open beta for a total of four days and found many of the same things OP brought up. Overall (as a frequent MMO player) I would say that I wasn't really all that impressed. Maybe it picks up towards the endgame, sure. But from what I played (1-16) I couldn't find anything that kept me wanting to play, let

Never played AC: Liberation so.. yeah. Just going off of what I know from AC IV.

One of the videos you find when infiltrating the various ctOS server storage facilities shows a kid playing a game that hints towards it being Assassin's Creed. The father (who's sitting next to him asks: "Why is he talking to the guy he just killed?" The kid says that "It's a confession" to which the father replies,

He's using NVIDIA like myself so that's not the problem. Guess he just needs to update his drivers.

One thing I do have to give Ubi credit for is making the city actually feel alive. Oh, and the weather/weather effects. Both were done surprisingly well.

Driving physics. 'Nuff said.

Ran fine for me on max settings. Gave problems to my friend who is running a better rig than mine tho, so there's that.

It does make GTA: IV's driving look realistic. I'm actually appalled by how terrible the driving really is. And the car physics.. fuck... Let me just put it this way; I should not be able to maintain control of my car as I'm flying over the top of a bunch of jagged rocks, nor should I be level.....

God only knows, but I'm sure they'll find a way. They're EA after all.
