I was disappointed at no Tides of Darkness, but I’ll take a WC3 remaster over nothing. It looks fantastic.

I still haven’t finished 2, but I remember when I started it I was really disappointed that he had a voice actor. I mean it makes sense, because you could only do so many entries in a story-driven franchise where the protagonist doesn’t say a word but it was still a bit disappointing.
It absolutely amazes me that people get so worked up about stuff like this when there’s a Direct, and we know when it is... I mean yeah it’s fun to speculate, but this is turning into a huge thing when we’ll all know tomorrow. It just strikes me as the type of behavior that would be more prevalent if we didn’t know a…
Dead Space 1 was a beautiful love letter to Event Horizon and horror video games. I know it’s a divisive topic, but I love that Isaac doesn’t say a damn word and I think that lends to its creepiness. His breathing is just there, and hearing it quicken really ramps up the tension.
I really wish I could have gotten into Soma. I absolutely adored Amnesia, but something about Soma just didn’t click with me at all.
Overall he looks good, but yeah that wig looks like something out of a dollar store costume. That being said, hopefully it’s just for the screentest and they’ll get a better one when actually filming.
I understand your complaints, but I think for the time being, they may be a bit unrealistic. Also, this is a complete nitpick, but these are open world games. I think that open world games are defined as basically being able to go wherever you want at any time (for the most part) and dick around however you want. I…
From what I understand, I feel like she’s criticizing a game that is striving for so much realism when it falters with the NPCs. Everything else is cranked up to 11, but the NPC dial is only at an 8, so it feels out of place compared to the rest of the game.
I really wish I enjoyed Diablo 3 as much as everyone else did. I didn’t hate it by any means, but it was one of those games that I could only play for an hour or so and then I’d get bored.
So I might just be incredibly naive (and I’m not trying to start any sort of flame war, I’m honestly just curious) but what’s the big issue? If someone is dressing up as someone else who’s black, what’s wrong with them putting on “makeup” to appear black?
Oh they 100% do. I can’t remember any specific sources, but I’ve seen multiple reports and articles where developers will say that crunch is basically baked into the process and expected. It’s just wrong.
I wouldn’t say it’s 100% of the time, but definitely 95% of the time. I’d say that there have been times where they’re getting to the end and some huge issue slipped by that everyone has to crunch a little to get fixed. But most of the time, I agree - it’s the result of poor planning.
They haven’t explicitly confirmed it, but you know it’s coming to PC. They’d be literally insane not to bring it to PC with how successful GTA V was on PC.
I just don’t understand how games with problems that common can consistently get perfect scores. Whether or not it’s an incredible narrative, a game doesn’t deserve a 10/10 if it doesn’t have the gameplay to support that story (and vice versa). I’m not saying that the game should be ripped apart, because it sounds…
I'll end up playing the game if it ever comes to PC, but man does the "realism over convenience" really bother me. I'm sure there are people out there who eat it up, and great for them. But when you're playing a game for 60+ hours, seeing those kind of forced animations and issues again and again really starts to get…
You can't dare to "knock it down a peg" unless you want to face the wrath of the internet. I'll bet that the game is really great. But I'm also almost positive that it gets way more 10s than it deserves, simply out of sheer pressure to not say anything bad about a R* game.
I understand the point that you’re trying to make, but it’s not an exact comparison. Even ports from PS2 to PS3 (Something like Shadow of the Colossus) don’t have much more going for them than a resolution bump. But if you compare something from the end of the PS3 era (The Last of Us), to something from the end of…
There’s a difference between working some overtime, and working mandatory 20+ additional hours per week for months, if not years. It’s not responsible, it’s not healthy, and it’s not right.
“What fans can instead do, those people say, is speak out about crunch and workplace issues like this, helping put public pressure on the company.”
It was as soon as a week or two, I feel that this reaction would be justified. And I will admit that just more than a month later is pretty soon for a sale, but I have no regrets pre-purchasing. I thought the game was incredibly fun (I actually think it’s my favorite of the trilogy) and I feel that I got my money’s…
