@Jen007: The Star is something you earn by being a good commenter. It means you are a featured commenter, which allows you to do a number of things. First of all, your comments show up even when people have it set to only see featured discussions. Secondly, your comments are normal font instead of faded like ours.

And........final 9 weeks grades are entered, with 12 minutes left until Spring Break begins. Whoop!

PC: Starcraft 2 Beta, Civilization IV

@Chispea: Especially considering that the rest of the world doesn't do it, I say it's time to stop.

@UnMicD: I've heard rumors that they are Siamese if you please. I've also heard that they are Siamese if you don't please, so here we are.

@kettlewhistle: like Tony, I don't have a Hero but can definitely vouch for Android as an awesome OS. That being said, I believe the Hero is currently still stuck with Android 1.5. Supposedly, all Android devices are going to be upgraded to 2.1 in the near future, though. That's just something to think about, as

@farcedude: Three of us recommended Subarus...that's awesome.

@nka: I personally suggest a Subaru Forester. They have symmetrical all-wheel drive (all Subarus do, I believe). Unlike almost any 4-wheel-drive, Subarus' drive-train is one continuous, connected device. It's hard for me to explain without a graphic, but it basically means that it has less chance of breaking down.

Whoo, Spring Break! Happy Friday, everyone! I am one teacher desperately counting the minutes until 2:20, when I get to leave (the kids left an hour ago, but my last class actually ended at 10:03 today).

On top at work, on bottom everywhere else. I don't know why...

@Pobre: Star every item in the feed? Oh...sorry, I mispoke up there. I meant that you can star articles, as you said there.

@agentgray: Sweet. Thanks. And I'm the same way. I mainly only comment on Lifehacker because I like the community here and feel like I know people via #openthread .

@danhughes: While your attitude in this post is pretty counter-productive and hostile for no reason (and sort of what I would expect in Kotaku, not Lifehacker), you make a good point. We are complaining about Gawker just doing something minor to keep their add revenues. We really shouldn't do that.

@maeks84: All of mine have stayed, only now they are excerpts instead of full articles.

@vansciver: I retained all of my starred posts and have unsubscribed and resubscribed 3 times trying to fix this mess. I'm pretty unsatisfied with all this crap, but that's one issue I'm not having. The only issue there is that the starred comments are now the excerpt version, since they were all made via my original

And NOW they are working the way they say in the article. Time to unsubscribe and resubscribe to Lifehacker for the 3rd time in two days.

@kettlewhistle: I like the pledgdrive idea. I'd definitely donate money to Lifehacker once or twice a year, especially if some neat little trinket like a 1gb usb drive with Luposuite or something on it.

@somacore: For the moment anyway, it's the opposite of what the article says. You have to change to the VIP tag to get the excerpt-only feed, leave it alone for it to stay full-text.
