It's definitely a total for four years- not per year. I work in admissions and financial aid, and they definitely will not be giving her 10k over the total.

I was a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children in the foster care system for two years. It is a coordinated, concerted effort to ameliorate the overwhelming issues of "the system", run on a shoe-string budget. Feel free to volunteer or donate. Texas has a particularly excellent CASA

It's very likely she's quoting a 4-year number. A lot of scholarship offers are made that way.

The $56,000 scholarship is presumably over 4 years, so she doesn't have $10,000 in excess funds.

I assume it's $56k total. When I got a letter from my college telling me I got a scholarship, it was in total dollars, not yearly dollars.

Welp, since that's only going to cover one year of tuition, she'd better learn to play nice with mom & dad if she wants a co-signer on those student loans! eeesh.

A photo of a rape victim would not be showing anything that was relevant to the case. Unless visible injury was done to the rape victim's back, of course.

Wait, really? I've never met any woman (that I know of) who has been physically attacked by a stranger. That honestly seems like a freak thing to happen.

I'm with you. They are SO unattractive to me, and give the impression the wearer has something to hide or is a 70s porn star—one of those things.

I feel like EVERYONE was being an asshole in this situation. The woman didn't deserve the violence and racial slurs, but she strikes me as the type who cuts you off/cuts in front of you/whatever, and then doesn't feel one ounce of shame when you call them out. Nay, they actually feel PROUD of themselves for acting

Jesus, I hate transition sunglasses. Complete deal breaker. I don't care if it's Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, Benedict Cumberbatch, whoever... If he's wearing transition sunglasses, I'm fucking done.

Hard to Watch, based on the book Stone Cold Bummer by Manipulate!

"something new and bold and daring"

Radnor seems blissfully unaware of how almost everyone watching it in the later seasons was actually watching it *just* to find out how he met the mother and who she was... The crazy adventures stopped being charming and entertaining and started being sad and boring after a few seasons.

Sure they may be talented, but it's subjecting a captive audience to something they may not have a taste for. What if it was opera? The Blue Man Group? Stomp? Circus performers? Magicians? The USC marching band? Metallica?

They are forcing people to listen. People paid for a ticket to get to wherever they are going, not this. It's great that they enjoyed themselves, but not everyone wants a couple dozen people singing in their ear, even if it was only 3 minutes. Same way I get annoyed when I'm on the bus going to school or home or

Oh thanks be. It's not just me. I'm extremely uncomfortable with being part of a captive and unwitting audience. I usually end up trying to act like someone just farted in public - yeah, we all heard it but let's act like we didn't to be polite.

I think your inability to comprehend hyperbole is funniest.

Yes. I wish there was a way to aggressively read a book, for situations like this. I have no time or patience for such shenanigans!

Also, the circle of life would not be a comforting message when you are afraid of dying in a plane crash.
