To be fair, sometimes it is all timing. The MOBA-esque world is hot right now with Blizzard finally entering it with Heroes, Dota still killing it, LoL and its awful community still growing, Smite keeping a steady playerbase.

As far as my relationship with Hi-Rez, I’ve only played Smite, but they absolutely have an idea how balance works and how to achieve it. It also still has ~15k active steam players and who knows how many more play with the Hi-Rez client.
