Have you seen Lost Girl? I've seen the entire 1st season and about 5 ep of the second and it's not high art, but it's not bad either. As for being some sort of rip off of True Blood, Lost Girl owes its roots to Buffy more than True Blood (which I must admit, I've never seen (True Blood that is)).
