I have years of experience with lots of different SSRIs. All I can say to you is DON’T GIVE UP if this isn’t the one for you. Everyone is different in how the drugs affect them, and no one SSRI is right for everyone. I do well on Celexa or Lexapro, my husband benefits from Zoloft, and my uncle does best on Paxil.

I’ve done Prozac, then Effexor, and now on Zoloft, which has been working well for me for 10+ years. Sometimes it takes awhile to figure out what works best with your chemistry. I can’t speak to Lexapro, but this one has worked well for me. I am one of those people who recognizes she’s better off one that off…

I took it for a while, but it gave me really bad headaches and didn’t do much. I’m now on Viibryd and it’s like night and day. It can take some trial and error to find the right drug, but it’s amazing when you find an antidepressant that works for you.
