There is a challenge on trying to make a curriculum about a group largely using scholarship by members of that group and not turn it into a lionization of everything about that group and en vogue stances of that group’s scholar class. You don’t want a Dianne Abbott situation, and I’m guessing some people defending the

And I think we all know how she’ll react when the Greco-Egyptian Cleopatra is next cast with someone from any ethnicity between Greece and Egypt (especially if it’s again someone from the neighboring ethnicity that’s also in the Semitic language family).

I wouldn’t spritz it and call it a day, either.

And you think spritzing it does more?

As an extra weird cherry on top, Hill’s latest movie (as well as some statements before that) was all about his wanting to apologize to people like Kanye for being Jewish.

Was she modeling for a clothing or carpeting company?

Not the people I would have expected a Purim prank from, but O.K.

How the hell did this song outlive the Br’er Rabbit elements whose only crime was being in the same movie as this song?

Kind of yes, kind of no. It’s a fun lighthearted song that in the context of the movie is being sung by a maybe-slave (it’s not stated and he could be a free black or sharecropper, but he certainly seems like a slave character with the serial number filed off) as a part of his normal workday.

The song was a tent-poll in Disney’s sing-alongs for a long time and Disney World is very dominated by regulars currently, so I’m not surprised people noticed.

There’s some issue from Baskett’s performance (especially this song) being highly respected, but yeah, the main reason it hasn’t been dismembered for a new movie centering more on the animation (with maybe a few new sequences to get the time up) is its reputation as Disney’s problem movie that can’t be touched. It’s a bit interesting, as Middle Eastern and many Hispanic people are still officially classified as white and she actually was a convert to Islam. Was she pretending to be a “person of color,” particularly when Middle Eastern people are frequently called “white” if they’re Jewish?

As opposed to having to go back and redo everything or just do something repairative. A related term in Judaism is “bedieved,” which can mean the bare minimum but usually means you haven’t caused damage but should still be avoiding it (such as washing milk and meat dishes in the same dishwasher load).

One reason for this is that maybe you tolerate that kind of corporate jargon at work, but think it’s annoying, and would prefer to avoid it the rest of the time. But is it all equally obnoxious, or is some of it particularly bad?

Did you watch the same Ghostbusters I did (which may actually be a concern, given how many franchises have used the name)? Winston was the Zeppo of the movie, and we all know which brother was cut in the move to MGM (which might explain why they started going downhill, but still). He was also the everyman the other,

Is there any evidence of that other than ageism?

Warnock was running against a loon, though, making her actually a good example of how it was the Republican docket rather than the Democratic that swung the mid-terms.

This seems like a very weak field. Harris is the far-and-away lead, and she’s managed to screw up every opportunity handed to her.
