At 17k, 28k, 38k if you were considering a high end European bike you can afford the first 2-3 levels of factory works bikes. Being rich is not required.

18k, 27k, and 38k aren’t outlandish prices and the 18k version gives you a track bike you couldn’t replicate with the few grand you’d save by going with the cheapest street trim superbike. The prices get crazy for the last two trim levels but the first three aren’t unreasonable.
