I think there’s even more than that to consider. Suppose cruises went away, what would replace them? Probably Caribbean island-hopping trips with the expectation of the same amenities at the destinations. So whole entertainment/dining/waterpark complexes would pop up on the islands, good for tourism jobs sure but bad

Look I’m as center left as the next guy but the amount of virtue signaling and just perceived nastiness and hostility in your writing...in almost every single article...makes me question who runs the joint at Jalopnik. They really need to fire you so you can go write for Huffington Post.  I’ll just read The Autopian.

The required infrastructure for hydrogen seem like it would make EV charging look like child's play.

Yet everyone here will continue burying their heads in the sand and insist that the twittersphere is indicative of reality.

That unscrupulous lowest bidder was spun off from Boeing with the express purpose of lowering costs for Boeing through cheaper labor and less oversight. It’s operating exactly as designed.

This is one of the few times I wouldn’t blame tesla that much since battery chemistry and manufacturing is fucking hard.

The vegas car tunnel loop can barely fucking hit 60 miles per hour because of how narrow it is and how shitty the drivers/driving software is.

Good thing they are getting rid of Android Auto and Apple Car paly, those things can be distracting to drivers.

Honda of America getting ready to release the Prologue:

It is interesting that it’s Ram (making it mainly pickups with some vans sprinkled in). It would be interesting to see if GMC was higher on the list than Chevy and if it was a pickup-driver issue or a Ram-buyer issue

Pretty much all other companies in Northern Europe are unionized. They do business fine.

Maybe, just maybe, the top tax bracket isn’t quite a high enough percentage.

I’m sure his kids will want for little either way.

Don’t forget “won’t pay $50 a month to use the infotainment” as a reason to avoid GM too.  Fuckers.

Different limits for sedans versus SUVs is terrible policy. It pushes consumers into larger, more expensive vehicles and pushes manufacturers into jacking up everything 6 inches and calling it an SUV. I don’t understand why the law would be written that way.

While none of these are interesting to me (I’m done with GM after too many poor experiences, I don’t want a pickup or a minivan, and Fuck Elon), it’s good to see the instant credit vs having to float that cash until tax season.

As far as the European strikes aimed at Tesla, has Musk tried telling them to go fuck themselves yet? That worked out well with re: to Walmart’s advertising dollars.

I saw the Cybertruck referred to as the IncEl Camino and that’s how I will forever think of it.

Given that some Tesla buyers paid $15k for imaginary FSD, paying just over half that and actually getting something doesn’t seem like such a bad deal.

This reminds me of dictatorships and their firing squads. They bill the family of the executed for the bullets.
